Description
treestand replacement cables. These are custom made to your length requirements from 316 stainless steel. The crimps are mil-spec zinc coated copper. The steel cables are 1/8 inch and have a break strength of 1780 lbs per piece. Saftey factor of 5 times still over 350 per cable. I dont know of any single seat hang on treestands that have a 700 pound rating. Dont let the galvanized coated cable on your stands too long. They absolutely rust through and will eventually break. These cables have marine grade heat shrink on them that also have glue in them so they seal up real nice. I use 2 pieces per end. The cables are primed in flat black. I wont use plastic coated wire because they get cracks and water goes in and stays in. These cables can air dry very quickly. I come from a boating background and these cables are made exactly like what goes on sail boats. I dont use thimbles on treestands because the loop is not subjected to rotational forces so are not needed. However if you want thimbles just send me a message asking about it. These are made to order and normally go out in 1 to 2 days after you order. Measure from center of each bolt to get the length you need. Most are 28 to 32 inches. If your hardware is rusted to badly cut them off and replace your bolts and lock nuts. 3 new nylon washers per bolt will keep them quieter. As always be safe and use your harness when climbing and hunting. I use a 3/8 eyebolt screwed into the tree above the ladder so i can clip in before i get on my stand. Good luck hunting.
The pictures show the zinc/copper crimp then the first shrink and the finished shrink. The plastic coated ones are galvanized and broke this yr in the middle of the cables.
